A look into the future: DATEV IT Campus 111

To the overview

Fürther Straße 111 in the city of Nürnberg is home to DATEV's new software development center, which was designed by Munich-based architects Boesel Benkert Hohberg. The company is one of Europe's largest IT service providers and software houses. The building has provided it with new space for its software development processes and operations.

The modern working environment offers relaxation and conference rooms of various sizes that directly adjoin the various workplaces and features a range of technical equipment and furnishings. Alongside these work-oriented areas, the architect has also created areas for communication and contact, including the four internal courtyards designed on the basis of ideas submitted by employees.

VS was awarded the commission to equip the 1,800 workplaces as well as the relaxation and conference rooms ahead of a number of renowned, long-established office suppliers on the basis of an invitation to tender.

Another little detail: VS adopted one of the architect's ideas in designing and subsequently implementing its furnishing concept. The building was designed with a consistent and comprehensive color concept that distinguishes between the different floors and rooms. These colors are reflected in the coverings of the PantoMove Soft chairs.

However, in winning the contract, VS impressed not just with its concept, quality and product offer but also at the level of practical implementation: There were hardly any complaints despite the very high volumes delivered. Its excellent performance during the supply and assembly of the equipment was confirmed on many occasions by DATEV.
